November & December 2023

As we all race to get everything done before going on Christmas leave, it is also nice to take the opportunity to reflect on the year that’s been. Those COVID years were tough, and I think we all made promises with ourselves that we wouldn’t return to old habits, like saying ‘yes’ to everything and overcommitting. However, it seems old habits are hard to break.

In the By Five team we have been honing our awareness of Mental Models and Mind Traps. Being cognisant of these and how they shape the conversations we have and the response we create. As we look to the start of a new year, keep your eyes peeled as we share some of these concepts and get your feedback on how mental models influence thinking and actions across our communities and our approaches toward solutions.

Enjoy the break and may Summer be kind to everyone.
